Following the phone call, you may then be invited to interview at one of our bases in Leeds.

The interview is really informal, we are more interested in your values and why you want to work with us, rather than your experience. As part of this session, we will also ask you to complete a short activity – this can be handwritten or done using a computer, whichever you would prefer.

The aim of the activity is to give you a really clear understanding of the expectations of the role, and for us to learn more about how you would approach supporting our service users in the best possible way.

Interview Tips

  • If you need any reasonable adjustments for the interview, let a member of the HR team know, and we'll do our best to support you

  • Prepare for the interview by reading the job description carefully and finding out a bit about the company. You can click here to find out a bit more about us

  • Try to relax - we know this can be difficult at an interview, but we will do our best to make people feel at ease

  • You'll be given the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the interview, so try to think about any questions you may have

  • Don't worry if you haven't worked in social care before. Think of skills you may have used in other work which you could transfer into a role at Leeds Autism Services
