Vaping, or using an electronic cigarette, is seen as an alternative to traditional forms of smoking, such as cigarettes or cigars.

While vaping is thought to be a safer option than smoking, and can help people to stop, vapes still contain many of the same harmful chemicals found in cigarettes, including nicotine. This is a highly addictive substance that causes dependency.
