Do you have physical and/or a mental health condition and want to get your experiences of health and care services heard by people at the top?

Healthwatch Leeds are looking for people with health conditions and/or their carers who regularly access services and who would be willing to talk to them once a month over a 6 month period to record their story.

They can record your experiences in a way that works for you (e.g. recorded phone or video call, socially distanced filming or working with you keep an audio/video diary).

Once you’re happy with the recorded updates, they would be shared with health and care leaders to help them understand how they can make improvements in how people experience, access and move between services.

They are particularly interested to hear from you if you:

  • Have had your treatment paused or affected in another way during lockdown

  • Care for someone with multiple health conditions and lockdown has affected you and/or the person you care for

  • Have mental health problems or care for someone that does

  • Are a young person with multiple health conditions that means you have a lot of health appointments and/or care needs, or you are the parent/carer for a child or young person in this position

They’re also particularly interested in hearing from men and people from BAME backgrounds.

You can see films and updates from previous participants on this project here.
