Latest Events Leeds Autism Show 2022 The event is now over for another year, and we would like to thank all our guest speakers, stall holders, volunteers and attendees for making the event a big success. Apologies to our virtual attendees for the technical issues with sound experienced on the day. It was our first time running the virtual option on Teams and we have learned lessons on how to improve the sound quality for next year. Sadly the video recordings had the same issues. Thank you all for coming and we hope you enjoyed it. See you in 2023! Event Details The Leeds Autism Show 2022 (formally known as Bigger And Better In Leeds) is a FREE autism event for Leeds. There is a variety of autistic guest speakers, information stalls representing local autism providers and support groups, plus details on accessible events in the city. You can find information on all sorts topics including: Diagnosis Mental Health NHS health and accessibility Employment Advocacy Support services in the city And lots more... It's the first time we have been able to hold the autism information event since the start of the Covid pandemic, so we have had to make a few changes to make sure we can continue to provide a free and accessible event for the city, most notably the new venue. Tickets Sold Out Tickets are now sold out, and we have endeverd to allocate cancelled tickets to attenddes on the waiting list. If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can allocate your ticket to another person. If you do not have a ticket, please don't arrive at the event, as you will not be given entry. Accessibility The conference room is close to the entrance, and clear signage will be in place for the event. We do not have a designated quiet area for the event, but quiet outdoor areas which are easy to access are available at the front and rear of the building. Music and lighting in the foyer will be turned down on the day of the event. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has disabled toilets. A hearing loop induction system is available in the conference room. Getting help at the event We have a number of volunteers who will be happy to help anyone out during the course of the event. Our volunteers will be wearing Leeds Autism Services T-Shirts so they can be easily identified. Entry Requirements Attendees will be required to sign in, and will be given a lanyard to wear for security purposes. People will not be allowed to enter without a ticket. Attendees will be asked to sign a Covid-19 screening declaration. Refreshments Hot and Cold drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day. Food is not available at the venue, but there are a number of food outlets very close by, and our volunteers will be happy to point you in the right direction. N.B. - display screens on the day may say that the coffee shop is closed between 11am - 2pm, but KPMG have now arranged to keep it open for the full day.
